The Nepali community in Colorado will celebrate their new year with the “Nepal Day Parade” organized by the Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal with all local organizations according to Tika Poudel, President of Rocky Mountain Friends.
After a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Nepal Day Parade is scheduled to resume this year. The event, which will take place on April 16 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Boulder City, will be attended by the mayor of Boulder City.
All individuals are invited to attend a program that will introduce Nepal and Nepali culture to the local community. The annual event takes place in Boulder, which is similar to Kathmandu Valley. Nepal Day parades have been organized in various American states recently. Since 2003, Colorado’s parade has been arranged by the Boulder City and Country office.
Boulder City officially announced a “Nepal Day Parade” on the third week of April each year to celebrate Nepali New Year. Colorado is the first state to implement this program.
